Isaiah 46:8–11 — The New International Version (NIV)

“Remember this, keep it in mind,

take it to heart, you rebels.

Remember the former things, those of long ago;

I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like me.

10 I make known the end from the beginning,

from ancient times, what is still to come.

I say, ‘My purpose will stand,

and I will do all that I please.’

11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;

from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.

What I have said, that I will bring about;

what I have planned, that I will do.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — English Standard Version (ESV)

“Remember this and stand firm,

recall it to mind, you transgressors,

remember the former things of old;

for I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like me,

10 declaring the end from the beginning

and from ancient times things not yet done,

saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,

and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

11 calling a bird of prey from the east,

the man of my counsel from a far country.

I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass;

I have purposed, and I will do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

Remember this, and shew yourselves men:

Bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.

Remember the former things of old:

For I am God, and there is none else;

I am God, and there is none like me,

10 Declaring the end from the beginning,

And from ancient times the things that are not yet done,

Saying, My counsel shall stand,

And I will do all my pleasure:

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east,

The man that executeth my counsel from a far country:

Yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass;

I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — New Living Translation (NLT)

“Do not forget this! Keep it in mind!

Remember this, you guilty ones.

Remember the things I have done in the past.

For I alone am God!

I am God, and there is none like me.

10 Only I can tell you the future

before it even happens.

Everything I plan will come to pass,

for I do whatever I wish.

11 I will call a swift bird of prey from the east—

a leader from a distant land to come and do my bidding.

I have said what I would do,

and I will do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

“Remember this, and show yourselves men;

Recall to mind, O you transgressors.

Remember the former things of old,

For I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like Me,

10 Declaring the end from the beginning,

And from ancient times things that are not yet done,

Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,

And I will do all My pleasure,’

11 Calling a bird of prey from the east,

The man who executes My counsel, from a far country.

Indeed I have spoken it;

I will also bring it to pass.

I have purposed it;

I will also do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — New Century Version (NCV)

“Remember this, and do not forget it!

Think about these things, you who turn against God.

Remember what happened long ago.

Remember that I am God, and there is no other God.

I am God, and there is no one like me.

10 From the beginning I told you what would happen in the end.

A long time ago I told you things that have not yet happened.

When I plan something, it happens.

What I want to do, I will do.

11 I am calling a man from the east to carry out my plan;

he will come like a hawk from a country far away.

I will make what I have said come true;

I will do what I have planned.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Remember this, and show yourselves men; bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; 10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; 11 calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Remember this, and shew yourselves men; call it to mind, ye transgressors. Remember the former things of old; for I am •God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; 10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; 11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. Yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Remember this, and take courage.

Recall your rebellious acts.

Remember the first events,

because I am God, and there is no other.

I am God, and there’s no one like me.

10 From the beginning I revealed the end.

From long ago I told you things that had not yet happened, saying,

“My plan will stand, and I’ll do everything I intended to do.”

11 I will call a bird of prey from the east.

I will call someone for my plan from a faraway land.

I have spoken, and I will bring it about.

I have planned it, and I will do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

“Remember this and be brave;

take it to heart, you transgressors!

Remember what happened long ago,

for I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and no one is like Me.

10 I declare the end from the beginning,

and from long ago what is not yet done,

saying: My plan will take place,

and I will do all My will.

11 I call a bird of prey from the east,

a man for My purpose from a far country.

Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about.

I have planned it; I will also do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

Remember this and consider,

recall it to mind, you transgressors,

remember the former things of old;

for I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is no one like me,

10 declaring the end from the beginning

and from ancient times things not yet done,

saying, “My purpose shall stand,

and I will fulfill my intention,”

11 calling a bird of prey from the east,

the man for my purpose from a far country.

I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass;

I have planned, and I will do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

Remember this and pluck up courage!

Call to mind, you transgressors!

Remember the former things from a long time ago,

for I am God and there is none besides me,

God and there is none like me,

10 who from the beginning declares the end,

and from before, things that have not been done,

who says, ‘My plan shall stand,’

and, ‘I will accomplish all my wishes,’

11 who calls a bird of prey from the east,

the man of his plan from a country from afar.

Indeed I have spoken; indeed I will bring it to being.

I have formed it; indeed I will do it.

Isaiah 46:8–11 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

So remember that, you who refuse to obey me.

Keep it in your minds and hearts.

“Remember what happened in the past.

Think about what took place long ago.

I am God. There is no other God.

I am God. There is no one like me.

10 Before something even happens, I announce how it will end.

In fact, from times long ago I announced what was still to come.

I say, ‘My plan will succeed.

I will do anything I want to do.’

11 I will send for a man from the east to carry out my plan.

From a land far away, he will come like a bird that eats dead bodies.

I will bring about what I have said.

I will do what I have planned.
