Haggai 1:3–5

3 Then the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai: 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”

5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.

3 Then the word of the Lord came by the hand of Haggai the prophet, 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins? 5 Now, therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways.

3 Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses,

And this house lie waste?

5 Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

3 Then the Lord sent this message through the prophet Haggai: 4 “Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins? 5 This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you!

3 Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” 5 Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!

3 Then Haggai the prophet spoke the word of the Lord: 4 “Is it right for you to be living in fancy houses while the Temple is still in ruins?”

5 This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: “Think about what you have done.

3 Then came the word of Jehovah by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your ceiled houses, while this house lieth waste? 5 Now therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.

3 And the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it time for you that ye should dwell in your wainscoted houses, while this house lieth waste? 5 And now thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.

3 Then the Lord spoke his word through the prophet Haggai. He said, 4 “Is it time for you to live in your paneled houses while this house lies in ruins? 5 Now, this is what the Lord of Armies says: Carefully consider your ways!

3 The word of the Lord came through Haggai the prophet: 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?” 5 Now, the Lord of Hosts says this: “Think carefully about your ways:

3 Then the word of the Lord came by the prophet Haggai, saying: 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins? 5 Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider how you have fared.

3 And the word of Yahweh came through Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your houses that have been paneled while this house is desolate?” 5 And so then, thus says Yahweh of hosts: ‘Consider your ways!

3 So the message came to me from the Lord. He said, 4 “My temple is still destroyed. In spite of that, you are living in your houses that have beautiful wooden walls.”

5 The Lord who rules over all says, “Think carefully about how you are living.
