2 Chronicles 28:1–4
1 aAhaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and bhe did not do right in the sight of the Lord as David his father had done.
2 aBut he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel; he also bmade molten images for the Baals.
3 Moreover, ahe burned incense in the valley of Ben-hinnom and bburned his sons in fire, caccording to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had driven out before the sons of Israel.
4 He sacrificed and aburned incense on the high places, on the hills and under every green tree.

1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord. 2 He followed the ways of the kings of Israel and also made idols for worshiping the Baals. 3 He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and sacrificed his children in the fire, engaging in the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. 4 He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places, on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.

He also made metal statues of gods that were named after Baal. 3 He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. He sacrificed his children in the fire to other gods. He followed the practices of the nations. The Lord hated those practices. He had driven out those nations to make room for the people of Israel. 4 Ahaz offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places. He also did it on the tops of hills and under every green tree.
