22 “As you summon to a feast day,

so you summoned against me terrors on every side.

In the day of the Lord’s anger

no one escaped or survived;

those I cared for and reared

my enemy has destroyed.”

22 You summoned as if to a festival day

my terrors on every side,

and on the day of the anger of the Lord

no one escaped or survived;

those whom I held and raised

my enemy destroyed.

22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, So that in the day of the Lord’s anger none escaped nor remained: Those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.

22 “You have invited terrors from all around,

as though you were calling them to a day of feasting.

In the day of the Lord’s anger,

no one has escaped or survived.

The enemy has killed all the children

whom I carried and raised.”

22 “You have invited as to a feast day

The terrors that surround me.

In the day of the Lord’s anger

There was no refugee or survivor.

Those whom I have borne and brought up

My enemies have destroyed.”

22 “You invited terrors to come against me on every side,

as if you were inviting them to a feast.

No one escaped or remained alive

on the day of the Lord’s anger.

My enemy has killed

those I cared for and brought up.”

22 Thou hast called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side;

And there was none that escaped or remained in the day of Jehovah’s anger:

Those that I have dandled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.

22 Thou hast called up, as on the day of a set feast, my terrors on every side; and in the day of Jehovah’s anger there was none that escaped or remained: those that I have nursed and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.

22 You have invited those who terrorize me on every side, 

as though they were invited to a festival. 

No one escaped or survived on the day of the Lord’s anger. 

My enemy has murdered the children I nursed and raised.” 

22 You summoned my attackers on every side,

as if for an appointed festival day;

on the day of the Lord’s anger

no one escaped or survived.

My enemy has destroyed

those I nurtured and reared.

22 You invited my enemies from all around

as if for a day of festival;

and on the day of the anger of the Lord

no one escaped or survived;

those whom I bore and reared

my enemy has destroyed.

22 You have summoned my horror from all around,

as if for a feast day;

no one on the day of Yahweh’s anger

is a fugitive and a survivor;

whoever I have cared for and reared,

my enemy has destroyed.

22 “You sent for terrors to come against me on every side.

It was as if you were inviting people to enjoy a feast day.

Because you were angry, no one escaped.

No one was left alive.

I took good care of my children and brought them up.

But my enemies have destroyed them.”

22 You called as in the day of an appointed feast

My terrors on every side;

And there was no one who escaped or survived

In the day of the Lord’s anger.

Those whom I bore and reared,

My enemy annihilated them.
