Psalm 79:1–7
1 O God, athe heathen are come into bthine inheritance;
cThy holy temple have they defiled;
dThey have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
2 eThe dead bodies of thy servants have they given
To be meat unto the fowls of the heaven,
fThe flesh of gthy saints unto the hbeasts of the earth.
3 Their blood have they ished like water
Round about Jerusalem; and there was jnone to bury them.
4 We are become a klreproach to our neighbours,
lA scorn and derision kto them that are round about us.
