Matthew 28

28 aIn the end of the sabbath, bas it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came bMary Magdalene and cthe other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there ||was da great earthquake: for ethe angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back fthe stone from the door, and sat upon it. gHis countenance was like lightning, and his raiment hwhite as snow: And for fear of him ithe keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel janswered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, kas he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, lhe goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with mfear and great joy; and ndid run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met othem, saying, All hail. And they came and pheld him by the feet, and qworshipped him. 10 Then said Jesus unto them, rBe not afraid: go tell smy brethren lthat they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of tthe watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had utaken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 14 And if this come to the wgovernor’s ears, we will xpersuade him, and secure you. 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is ycommonly reported among the Jews zuntil this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain awhere Jesus had bappointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they qworshipped him: but csome ddoubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, eAll power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 fGo ye therefore, gand ||teach all nations, fbaptizing them hin the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, iI am with you alway, even unto kthe end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 19–20

19 *And it came to pass, athat when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from bGalilee, and came cinto the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; dAnd great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man eto put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that fhe which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, gFor this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and hthey twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. They say unto him, iWhy did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the khardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. lAnd I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, mit is not good to marry. 11 But he said unto them, nAll men cannot oreceive this saying, psave they to whom qit is given. 12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, rwhich were made eunuchs of men: and sthere be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to oreceive it, let him receive it.

13 tThen were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for uof such is the kingdom of heaven. 15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

16 And, behold, xone came and said unto him, Good yMaster, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but zif thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, aThou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 bHonour thy father and thy mother: and, cThou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be dperfect, ego and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and fthou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That ga rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And hagain I say unto you, It is easier for a icamel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus kbeheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but lwith God all things are possible.

27 Then answered Peter and said unto

Matthew 24

24 And aJesus went out, and bdeparted from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, cThere shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon dthe mount of Olives, ethe disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of fthe end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, gTake heed that no man deceive you. For hmany shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; iand shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that kye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For lnation shall rise against nation, and mkingdom against kingdom: and there shall be nfamines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of osorrows.

pThen shall they deliver you up qto be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many rbe offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many sfalse prophets shall rise, and tshall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 uBut he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this xgospel of the kingdom yshall be preached in all zthe world zzfor a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by aDaniel the prophet, stand in bthe holy place, c(whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 dLet him which is on the ehousetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And fwoe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great gtribulation, ghsuch as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except ithose days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for kthe elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then lif any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and mfalse prophets, and nshall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very kelect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if othey shall say unto you, Behold, he is in pthe desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the qsecret chambers; believe it not. 27 rFor as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 sFor wheresoever the sscarcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the ttribulation of those days ushall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and wthe stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then xshall appear ythe sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall zall the tribes of zathe earth mourn
