Luke 15:15–19

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And qhe would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he rcame to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, sI have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 sAnd tam no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

Luke 15:15–19 — The New International Version (NIV)

15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

17 When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’
