Luke 1:17–19

17 mAnd he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to nturn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient ||to the wisdom of the just; oto make ready a people pprepared for the Lord. 18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, qWhereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife rwell stricken in years. 19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am sGabriel, tthat stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

Luke 1:17–19 — The New International Version (NIV)

17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

18 Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”

19 The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.
