Luke 6:2–3

2 Some of the Pharisees asked, “Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

3 Jesus answered them, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?” 3 And Jesus answered them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:

2 But some Pharisees said, “Why are you breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath?”

3 Jesus replied, “Haven’t you read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”

3 But Jesus answering them said, “Have you not even read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:

2 Some Pharisees said, “Why do you do what is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

3 Jesus answered, “Have you not read what David did when he and those with him were hungry?

2 But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day? 3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and they that were with him;

2 But some of the Pharisees said to them, Why do ye what is not lawful to do on the sabbath? 3 And Jesus answering said to them, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did when he hungered, he and those who were with him,

2 Some of the Pharisees asked, “Why are your disciples doing something that is not right to do on the day of rest—a holy day?” 

3 Jesus answered them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his men were hungry?

2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

3 Jesus answered them, “Haven’t you read what David and those who were with him did when he was hungry—

2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” 3 Jesus answered, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is not permitted on the Sabbath? 3 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Have you not read this, what David did when he and those who were with him were hungry—

2 Some of the Pharisees said, “It is against the Law to do this on the Sabbath. Why are you doing it?”

3 Jesus answered them, “Haven’t you ever read about what David did? He and his men were hungry.

2 But some of the Pharisees said, “Why do you do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

3 And Jesus answering them said, “Have you not even read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him,
