Job 8
8 Then answered aBildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 How long wilt thou speak these things?
And how long shall the words of thy mouth be like ba strong wind?
3 cDoth God pervert judgment?
Or ddoth the Almighty pervert justice?
4 If ethy children have sinned against him,
And he have cast them away †for their transgression;
5 fIf thou wouldest gseek unto God betimes,
And make thy supplication to the Almighty;
6 If thou wert pure and upright;
Surely now he would awake for thee,
And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
7 Though thy beginning was small,
Yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
8 hFor inquire, I pray thee, of the former age,
And prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
9 (For iwe are but of yesterday, and know †nothing,
Because our days upon earth are ja shadow:)
10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee,
And utter words out of their heart?
11 Can the krush grow up without mire?
Can the lflag grow without water?
12 mWhilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down,
It withereth before any other herb.
13 So are the paths of all that forget God;
And the nhypocrite’s hope shall perish:
14 Whose hope shall be cut off,
And whose trust shall be †a spider’s web.
15 He shall lean upon ohis house, but it shall not stand:
He shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
16 He is pgreen before the sun,
And his qbranch shooteth forth in his garden.
17 His roots are rwrapped about the heap,
And seeth the place of stones.
18 If he destroy him sfrom his place,
Then it shall deny him, tsaying, I have not seen thee.
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way,
And uout of the earth shall others grow.
20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man,
Neither will he †help the evil doers:
21 Till he xfill thy mouth with laughing,
And thy lips with †rejoicing.
22 They that hate thee shall be yclothed with shame;
And the zdwelling place of the wicked †shall come to nought.

Job 25–27
25 Then answered aBildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 Dominion and fear are with him,
He maketh peace in his bhigh places.
3 Is there any cnumber of his darmies?
And upon whom doth not ehis light arise?
4 fHow then can man be justified with God?
Or ghow can he be clean that is hborn of a woman?
5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not;
Yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
6 iHow much less man, that is a worm?
And the kson of man, which is a lworm?
2 How hast thou helped him that is without power?
How savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom?
And how hast thou plentifully declared athe thing as it is?
4 To whom hast thou uttered words?
And whose spirit came from thee?
From under the waters, ||and the inhabitants thereof.
6 dHell is naked before him,
And edestruction hath no covering.
7 fHe stretcheth out the north over gthe empty place,
And hangeth the earth upon nothing.
8 He hbindeth up the waters in his thick clouds;
And the cloud is not rent under them.
9 He holdeth back the face of his throne,
And ispreadeth his cloud upon it.
10 He jhath compassed the waters with kbounds,
†Until the day and night come to an end.
11 lThe pillars of heaven tremble
And are astonished at his reproof.
12 mHe divideth the sea with his power,
And by his understanding he smiteth through †the proud.
13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens;
His hand chath formed nthe crooked serpent.
14 Lo, these are parts of his nnways:
But how olittle a portion is heard pof him?
But the thunder of his power who can understand?
27 Moreover Job †continued his parable, and said,
2 aAs God liveth, bwho hath taken away my judgment;
And the Almighty, who hath †vexed my soul;
3 cAll the while my breath is in me,
And ||the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
4 My lips shall not speak dwickedness,
Nor my tongue utter ddeceit.
5 eGod forbid that I should justify you:
Till I die I will not remove mine fintegrity from me.
6 My righteousness I ghhold fast, and will not hlet it go:
iMy heart shall not reproach me †so long as I live.
7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked,
And khe that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
8 lFor what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he mhath gained,
When God taketh away his soul?
9 nWill God hear his cry
When trouble cometh upon him?
10 oWill he delight himself in the Almighty?
Will he always call upon God?
11 I will teach you ||by the hand of God:
That which is pwith the Almighty will I not conceal.
12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it;
Why then are ye thus altogether vain?
13 qThis is the portion of a wicked man with God,
And the heritage of roppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
14 sIf his children be multiplied, it is for tthe sword:
And his uoffspring tshall not be satisfied with bread.
15 Those that remain of him tshall be buried in death:
And whis widows shall not weep.
16 Though he xheap up silver as the dust,
And prepare raiment as the clay;
17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on,
And ythe innocent shall divide the silver.
18 He buildeth zhis house as a amoth,
And as a bbooth that cthe keeper maketh.
19 The rich man dshall lie down, but he shall not be egathered:
He openeth his eyes, and fhe is not.
20 gTerrors take hold on him as hwaters,
A itempest stealeth him away djin the night.
21 The east wind carrieth him away, and khe departeth:
And las a storm hurleth him mout of his place.
22 For God shall ncast upon him, and not spare:
†He would fain flee out of his hand.
23 Men shall oclap their hands at him,
