John 1:40–41

40 uOne of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first findeth vhis own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the wMessias, which is, being interpreted, ||the Christ.

John 1:40–41 — The New International Version (NIV)

40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).
