putting your trust in false gods.

26 I myself will strip you

The portion of your measures from Me,” says the Lord,

That your shame may appear.

27 I have seen your adulteries

And your lustful neighings,

Your abominations on the hills in the fields.

Woe to you, O Jerusalem!

Will you still not be made clean?”

How terrible it will be for you, Jerusalem.

How long will you continue being unclean?”

Jeremiah 13:25–27 — American Standard Version (ASV)

25 This is thy lot, the portion measured unto thee from me, saith Jehovah; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood. 26 Therefore will I also uncover thy skirts upon thy face, and thy shame shall appear. 27 I have seen thine abominations, even thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, on the hills in the field. Jeremiah 13:25–27 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Woe unto thee, Jerusalem! Wilt thou not be made clean? after how long a time yet?

and your shame will be seen.

I have seen you act like a shameless prostitute

on the hills and in the fields.

How horrible it will be for you, Jerusalem!

Will you ever be clean?”

so that your shame might be seen.

27 Your adulteries and your lustful neighing,

your heinous prostitution

Woe to you, Jerusalem!

You are unclean—

for how long yet?

26 So I will pull your skirt up over your face.

Then people will see the shame of your naked body.

27 They will see that you have not been faithful to me.

You have committed adultery with other gods.

And you have acted like a prostitute

who does not have any shame.

I have seen what you did

on the hills and in the fields.

And I hate it.

How terrible it will be for you, Jerusalem!

How long will you choose to be ‘unclean’?”
