2 Timothy 1:5–16

When I call to nremembrance othe unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and pthy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou qstir up rthe gift of God, swhich is in thee tby the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us uthe spirit of fear; but vof power, and of love, and wof a sound mind. xBe not thou therefore ashamed of ythe testimony of our Lord, nor of me zhis prisoner: but abe thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; bWho hath saved us, and ccalled us with dan holy calling, enot according to our works, but faccording to his own purpose and ggrace, which was given us in Christ Jesus hbefore the world began, 10 But iis now made manifest by jthe appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, kwho hath labolished death, and hath brought life and mimmortality to light through the gospel: 11 nWhereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 oFor the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless pI am not ashamed: qfor I know whom I have ||believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep rthat which I have committed unto him against sthat day. 13 tHold fast uthe form of vsound words, wwhich thou hast heard of me, in xfaith and xlove which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That good rthing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost ywhich dwelleth in us. 15 This thou knowest, that zall they which are in Asia abe turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 16 bThe Lord give mercy unto cthe house of Onesiphorus; for he oft drefreshed me, and ewas not ashamed of fmy chain:
