2 Timothy 2:19–26

19 Nevertheless qthe foundation of God standeth ||sure, qqhaving this seal, rThe Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ sdepart from iniquity. 20 But tin a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and uof earth; and vsome to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If wa man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a xvessel unto honour, sanctified, and xmeet for the master’s use, and yprepared unto every zgood work. 22 aFlee also byouthful lusts: but afollow righteousness, afaith, acharity, cpeace, with dthem that call on the Lord eout of a pure heart. 23 But foolish and unlearned fquestions gavoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24 And hthe servant of the Lord must not strive; but be igentle unto all men, kapt to teach, ||lpatient, 25 mIn meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; nif God peradventure will give them repentance oto the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may †recover themselves out pof the snare of the devil, who are †taken captive by him at his will.
