1 Peter 2:17–18

17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.

17 Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust.

17 Respect everyone, and love the family of believers. Fear God, and respect the king.

18 You who are slaves must submit to your masters with all respect. Do what they tell you—not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruel.

18 Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.

18 Slaves, yield to the authority of your masters with all respect, not only those who are good and kind, but also those who are dishonest.

17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king. 18 Servants, be subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.

18 Slaves, place yourselves under the authority of your owners and show them complete respect. Obey not only those owners who are good and kind, but also those who are unfair.
