1 Corinthians 5:1–8

It is reported acommonly that there is aafornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as bnamed among the Gentiles, cthat one should have his dfather’s wife. And ye are epuffed up, and have not rather fmourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as gabsent in body, but present in spirit, have ||judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, gand my spirit, hwith the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, iTo deliver such an one unto kSatan for the destruction of the flesh, lthat the spirit may be saved in mthe day of the Lord Jesus. nYour glorying is not good. Know ye not that oa little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even pChrist our passover ||is sacrificed for us: Therefore qlet us keep ||the feast, qnot with old leaven, neither with othe leaven of rmalice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of ssincerity and truth.
