Haggai 2:1–7

aIn the seventh month, ain the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the Lord †by the prophet Haggai, saying, 2 Speak now to bZerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, bgovernor of Judah, and to bJoshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to cthe residue of the people, saying,

3  dWho is left among you that saw this house in eher first glory?

And how do ye see it now?

fIs it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

4  Yet now gbe strong, bO Zerubbabel, saith the Lord;

And gbe strong, bO Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest;

And gbe strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and hwork:

For iI am with you, saith the Lord of hosts:

5  jAccording to kthe word that I kcovenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt,

So lmy spirit remaineth among you: mfear ye not.

6  For thus saith the Lord of hosts; nYet once, it is oa little while,

And pI will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

7  And pI will shake qall nations, and rthe desire of all nations sshall come:

And I will fill this house with tyglory, saith the Lord of hosts.
