Galatians 2:11–16

11 But mwhen Peter was come to nAntioch, I withstood him oto the face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before that certain came from dJames, phe did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing qthem which were of the circumcision. 13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that jBarnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. 14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to rthe truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter sbefore them all, If thou, being a Jew, plivest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why sscompellest thou the Gentiles to tlive as do the Jews? 15 uWe who are Jews vby nature, and not wsinners of the Gentiles, 16 Knowing that xa man is not justified by the works of the law, but yuby the zfaith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified uby the zfaith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for aby the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
