Ezekiel 5:10–6:10

10 Therefore sthe fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and sthe sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I tscatter into all the winds. 11 Wherefore, uas I live, saith the Lord God; Surely, because vthou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy wdetestable things, and with all thine wabominations, therefore will I also xdiminish thee; yneither zshall mine eye spare, yneither will I have any pity. 12 A athird part of thee shall die with bthe pestilence, and with bfamine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by bthe sword round about thee; and cI will scatter a third part into all the winds, and dI will draw out a sword after them. 13 Thus eshall jmine anger be accomplished, and fI will cause jmy fury to rest upon them, and gI will be comforted: and they shall know that I the Lord hhave spoken it in ijmy zeal, ewhen I have accomplished my fury in them. 14 Moreover kI will make thee waste, and la reproach among the nations mthat are round about thee, nin the sight of all that pass by. 15 So it shall be la reproach and opa taunt, qan instruction and oran astonishment unto the nations mthat are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and sin furious qrebukes. I the Lord have spoken it. 16 When I shall send upon them tthe evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and uwill break your staff of bread: 17 So will I send upon you vfamine and vwevil beasts, and they shall xbereave thee; and vypestilence and yblood shall pass through thee; and I will bring vthe sword upon thee. I the Lord have spoken it.

6 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, aset thy face toward bthe mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, 3 bbAnd say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God cto the mountains, and cto the hills, to cdthe rivers, and ceto the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and fI will destroy your high places. 4 And your altars shall be desolate, and fyour ||images shall be broken: and fgI will cast down your slain men before your idols. 5 And fI will †lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and gI hwill scatter your bones round about your altars. 6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities ishall be laid waste, and fthe high places gshall be desolate; that your altars imay be laid waste and jmade desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your kimages may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. 7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, land ye shall know that I am the Lord.

8 mYet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have nsome that shall escape the sword among the nations, owhen ye shall be scattered through the countries. 9 And nthey that escape of you mpshall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because qI am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and rwith their eyes, which sgo a whoring after their idols: and ptthey shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. 10 And lthey shall know that I am the Lord, and that uI have not said vin vain that I would do this evil unto them.
