Daniel 9:4–11

And hI mprayed unto the Lord my God, and mnmade my confession, and said,

oO Lord, opthe great and dreadful God, oqkeeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; rWe have sinned, and rhave committed iniquity, and rhave done wickedly, and rrhave rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: sNeither have we hearkened unto tthy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name uzto our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, vrighteousness ||belongeth unto thee, but vzunto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, wthat are near, and that are far off, through all the countries xwhither thou hast driven them, ybecause of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. O Lord, vzto us belongeth confusion of face, uato our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because bwe have sinned against thee. cTo the Lord our God belong mercies and dforgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; 10 efNeither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, fto walk in his laws, which he set before us by ehis servants the prophets. 11 Yea, gall Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, hthat they might not obey thy voice; therefore ithe curse kis poured upon us, and the oath lthat is written in the law of Moses llthe servant of God, bhbecause we have sinned against him.
