Acts 15:15–17

15 And to this agree the words of ithe prophets; as it is written, 16 After this I will return, and kwill build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Acts 15:15–17 — The New International Version (NIV)

15 The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:

16 “ ‘After this I will return

and rebuild David’s fallen tent.

Its ruins I will rebuild,

and I will restore it,

17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,

even all the Gentiles who bear my name,

says the Lord, who does these things’—

Acts 15:15–17 — English Standard Version (ESV)

15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,

16 “ ‘After this I will return,

and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen;

I will rebuild its ruins,

and I will restore it,

17 that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord,

and all the Gentiles who are called by my name,

says the Lord, who makes these things

Acts 15:15–17 — New Living Translation (NLT)

15 And this conversion of Gentiles is exactly what the prophets predicted. As it is written:

16 ‘Afterward I will return

and restore the fallen house of David.

I will rebuild its ruins

and restore it,

17 so that the rest of humanity might seek the Lord,

including the Gentiles—

all those I have called to be mine.

The Lord has spoken—

Acts 15:15–17 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:

16 After this I will return

And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down;

I will rebuild its ruins,

And I will set it up;

17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,

Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name,

Says the Lord who does all these things.’

Acts 15:15–17 — New Century Version (NCV)

15 The words of the prophets agree with this too:

16 ‘After these things I will return.

The kingdom of David is like a fallen tent.

But I will rebuild its ruins,

and I will set it up.

17 Then those people who are left alive may ask the Lord for help,

and the other nations that belong to me,

says the Lord,

who will make it happen.

Acts 15:15–17 — American Standard Version (ASV)

15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

16 After these things I will return,

And I will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen;

And I will build again the ruins thereof,

And I will set it up:

17 That the residue of men may seek after the Lord,

And all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called,

Acts 15:15–17 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

15 And with this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written: 16 After these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up, 17 so that the residue of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations on whom my name is invoked, saith the Lord, who does these things

Acts 15:15–17 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

15 This agrees with what the prophets said. Scripture says,

16 ‘Afterwards, I will return.

I will set up David’s fallen tent again.

I will restore its ruined places again.

I will set it up again

17 so that the survivors and all the people who aren’t Jewish

over whom my name is spoken,

may search for the Lord, declares the Lord.

Acts 15:15–17 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

15 And the words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written:

16 After these things I will return

and rebuild David’s fallen tent.

I will rebuild its ruins

and set it up again,

17 so the rest of humanity

may seek the Lord—

even all the Gentiles

who are called by My name,

declares the Lord who does these things,

Acts 15:15–17 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

15 This agrees with the words of the prophets, as it is written,

16 ‘After this I will return,

and I will rebuild the dwelling of David, which has fallen;

from its ruins I will rebuild it,

and I will set it up,

17 so that all other peoples may seek the Lord—

even all the Gentiles over whom my name has been called.

Thus says the Lord, who has been making these things

Acts 15:15–17 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:

16 ‘After these things I will return

and build up again the tent of David that has fallen,

and the parts of it that had been torn down I will build up again

and will restore it,

17 so that the rest of humanity may seek the Lord,

even all the Gentiles who are called by my name,

says the Lord, who makes these things

Acts 15:15–17 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

15 The prophets’ words agree with that. They say,

16 “ ‘After this I will return

and rebuild David’s fallen tent.

I will rebuild what was destroyed.

I will make it what it used to be.

17 Then the rest of the people can look to the Lord.

This means all the non-Jews who belong to me.

The Lord says this. He is the one who does these things.’

Acts 15:15–17 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

15 “With this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written,

16 After these things I will return,

And I will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen,

And I will rebuild its ruins,

And I will restore it,

17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,

And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,’
