Therefore wait for me,”

declares the Lord,

“for the day I will stand up to testify.

I have decided to assemble the nations,

to gather the kingdoms

and to pour out my wrath on them—

all my fierce anger.

The whole world will be consumed

by the fire of my jealous anger.

“Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,

that all of them may call on the name of the Lord

and serve him shoulder to shoulder.

10 From beyond the rivers of Cush

my worshipers, my scattered people,

will bring me offerings.

Zephaniah 3:8–10 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord,

Until the day that I rise up to the prey:

For my determination is to gather the nations,

That I may assemble the kingdoms,

To pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger:

For all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

For then will I turn to the people a pure language,

That they may all call upon the name of the Lord,

To serve him with one consent.

My suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.

Therefore, be patient,” says the Lord.

“Soon I will stand and accuse these evil nations.

For I have decided to gather the kingdoms of the earth

and pour out my fiercest anger and fury on them.

All the earth will be devoured

by the fire of my jealousy.

“Then I will purify the speech of all people,

so that everyone can worship the Lord together.

10 My scattered people who live beyond the rivers of Ethiopia

will come to present their offerings.

Zephaniah 3:8–10 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

“Therefore wait for Me,” says the Lord,

“Until the day I rise up for plunder;

My determination is to gather the nations

To My assembly of kingdoms,

To pour on them My indignation,

All My fierce anger;

All the earth shall be devoured

With the fire of My jealousy.

“For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language,

That they all may call on the name of the Lord,

To serve Him with one accord.

My worshipers,

The daughter of My dispersed ones,

Shall bring My offering.

Zephaniah 3:8–10 — New Century Version (NCV)

Just wait,” says the Lord.

“Someday I will stand up as a witness.

I have decided that I will gather nations

and assemble kingdoms.

I will pour out my anger on them,

all my strong anger.

My anger will be like fire

that will burn up the whole world.

“Then I will give the people of all nations pure speech

so that all of them will speak the name of the Lord

and worship me together.

Zephaniah 3:8–10 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Therefore wait ye for me, saith Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger; for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

For then will I turn to the peoples of a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent. 10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.

Therefore wait ye for me, saith Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to assemble the nations, that I may gather the kingdoms together, to pour upon them mine indignation, —all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. For then will I turn to the peoples a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent. 10 From beyond the rivers of Cush my suppliants, the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine oblation.

The Lord declares, “Just wait!

One day I will stand up as a witness.

I have decided to gather nations,

to bring kingdoms together,

and to pour my rage, my burning anger, on them.

The whole land will be consumed by my fiery fury.

“Then I will give all people pure lips

to worship the Lord

and to serve him with one purpose.

my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring my offering.

Zephaniah 3:8–10 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Therefore, wait for Me —

this is the Lord’s declaration—

until the day I rise up for plunder.

For My decision is to gather nations,

to assemble kingdoms,

in order to pour out My indignation on them,

all My burning anger;

for the whole earth will be consumed

by the fire of My jealousy.

For I will then restore

pure speech to the peoples

so that all of them may call

on the name of Yahweh

and serve Him with a single purpose.

10 From beyond the rivers of Cush

My supplicants, My dispersed people,

will bring an offering to Me.

Zephaniah 3:8–10 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

Therefore wait for me, says the Lord,

for the day when I arise as a witness.

For my decision is to gather nations,

to assemble kingdoms,

to pour out upon them my indignation,

all the heat of my anger;

for in the fire of my passion

all the earth shall be consumed.

At that time I will change the speech of the peoples

to a pure speech,

that all of them may call on the name of the Lord

and serve him with one accord.

For my decision is to gather nations,

to assemble kingdoms,

to pour out my wrath upon them, all my burning anger.

For by the fire of my anger all the land shall be consumed.

Because then I will make the speech of the nations pure;

that all of them might call on the name of Yahweh,

to serve him in unison.

You will worship me.

You will bring me offerings.

That all of them may call on the name of the Lord,

To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.

10 “From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia

My worshipers, My dispersed ones,

Will bring My offerings.
