21 For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. 22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel. 23 I hope, therefore, to send him as soon as I see how things go with me. 24 And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon.

Philippians 2:21–24 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. 22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. 23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. 24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

Philippians 2:21–24 — New Living Translation (NLT)

Philippians 2:21–24 — New Century Version (NCV)

21 Other people are interested only in their own lives, not in the work of Jesus Christ. 22 You know the kind of person Timothy is.
