7 The remnant of Jacob will be

in the midst of many peoples

like dew from the Lord,

like showers on the grass,

which do not wait for anyone

or depend on man.

8 The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations,

in the midst of many peoples,

like a lion among the beasts of the forest,

like a young lion among flocks of sheep,

which mauls and mangles as it goes,

and no one can rescue.

9 Your hand will be lifted up in triumph over your enemies,

and all your foes will be destroyed.

7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people

As a dew from the Lord,

As the showers upon the grass,

That tarrieth not for man,

Nor waiteth for the sons of men.

8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people

As a lion among the beasts of the forest,

As a young lion among the flocks of sheep:

Who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces,

And none can deliver.

9 Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries,

And all thine enemies shall be cut off.

7 Then the remnant left in Israel

will take their place among the nations.

They will be like dew sent by the Lord

or like rain falling on the grass,

which no one can hold back

and no one can restrain.

8 The remnant left in Israel

will take their place among the nations.

They will be like a lion among the animals of the forest,

like a strong young lion among flocks of sheep and goats,

pouncing and tearing as they go

with no rescuer in sight.

9 The people of Israel will stand up to their foes,

and all their enemies will be wiped out.

7 Then the remnant of Jacob

Shall be in the midst of many peoples,

Like dew from the Lord,

Like showers on the grass,

That tarry for no man

Nor wait for the sons of men.

8 And the remnant of Jacob

Shall be among the Gentiles,

In the midst of many peoples,

Like a lion among the beasts of the forest,

Like a young lion among flocks of sheep,

Who, if he passes through,

Both treads down and tears in pieces,

And none can deliver.

9 Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries,

And all your enemies shall be cut off.

7 Then the people of Jacob who are left alive

will be to other people

like dew from the Lord

or rain on the grass—

it does not wait for human beings;

it does not pause for any person.

8 Those of Jacob’s people who are left alive

will be scattered among many nations and peoples.

They will be like a lion among the animals of the forest,

like a young lion in a flock of sheep:

As it goes, it jumps on them

and tears them to pieces,

and no one can save them.

9 So you will raise your fist in victory over your enemies,

and all your enemies will be destroyed.

7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that tarry not for man, nor wait for the sons of men. 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he go through, treadeth down and teareth in pieces, and there is none to deliver. 9 Let thy hand be lifted up above thine adversaries, and let all thine enemies be cut off.

7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, neither waiteth for the sons of men. 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and there is none to deliver. 9 Thy hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

7 Then the few people left from Jacob will be among many people 

like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass. 

They do not put their hope in humans or wait for mortals. 

8 The few people left from Jacob will be among the nations, 

among many people. 

They will be like a lion among animals in the forest, 

like a young lion among flocks of sheep. 

When a lion hunts, 

it tramples ⸤its victims⸥ and tears ⸤them⸥ to pieces, 

and there is no one to rescue them. 

9 You will use your power against your opponents, 

and all your enemies will be destroyed. 

7 Then the remnant of Jacob

will be among many peoples

like dew from the Lord,

like showers on the grass,

which do not wait for anyone

or linger for mankind.

8 Then the remnant of Jacob

will be among the nations, among many peoples,

like a lion among animals of the forest,

like a young lion among flocks of sheep,

which tramples and tears as it passes through,

and there is no one to rescue them.

9 Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries,

and all your enemies will be destroyed.

7 Then the remnant of Jacob,

surrounded by many peoples,

shall be like dew from the Lord,

like showers on the grass,

which do not depend upon people

or wait for any mortal.

8 And among the nations the remnant of Jacob,

surrounded by many peoples,

shall be like a lion among the animals of the forest,

like a young lion among the flocks of sheep,

which, when it goes through, treads down

and tears in pieces, with no one to deliver.

9 Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries,

and all your enemies shall be cut off.

7 And the remnant of Jacob will be

in the midst of many nations,

like dew from Yahweh,

like showers upon the grass

which does not wait for a man,

nor delays for the children of humankind.

8 And the remnant of Jacob will be among the nations,

in the midst of many peoples,

like a lion among the wild animals of the forest,

like a young lion among the herds of sheep

which, when it passes through and treads down

and tears in pieces, there is none who can deliver.

9 Your hand will be lifted high over your enemies,

and all your foes will be cut off.

7 Jacob’s people who are still left alive

will be scattered among many nations.

They will be like dew the Lord has sent.

It doesn’t wait for a man’s command.

They will be like rain that falls on the grass.

Rain doesn’t wait for someone to give it orders.

8 So Jacob’s people will be scattered

among many nations.

They will be like a lion

among the animals in the forest.

They’ll be like a young lion

among flocks of sheep.

Lions attack and tear as they move along.

No one can keep them

from killing what they want.

9 Lord, your powerful hand will win the battle

over your enemies.

All of them will be destroyed.

Will be among many peoples

Like dew from the Lord,

Like showers on vegetation

Which do not wait for man

Or delay for the sons of men.

8 The remnant of Jacob

Will be among the nations,

Among many peoples

Like a lion among the beasts of the forest,

Like a young lion among flocks of sheep,

Which, if he passes through,

Tramples down and tears,

And there is none to rescue.

9 Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries,
