Matthew 4:8–11

hAgain, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, Be gone, iSatan! For jit is written,

k“ ‘You shall worship the Lord your God

and lhim only shall you serve.’ ”

11 Then the devil left him, and behold, mangels came and were ministering to him.

Matthew 4:8–11 — The New International Version (NIV)

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
