18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake. 19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side. 19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he instructed his disciples to cross to the other side of the lake.

19 Then one of the teachers of religious law said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

20 But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”

18 Now, when Jesus saw a crowd around him, he ordered ⸤his disciples⸥ to cross to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. 

19 An expert in Moses’ Teachings came to him and said, “Teacher, I’ll follow you wherever you go.” 

20 Jesus told him, “Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to sleep.”

18 Jesus saw the crowd around him. So he gave his disciples orders to go to the other side of the Sea of Galilee.

19 Then a teacher of the law came to him. He said, “Teacher, I will follow you no matter where you go.”

20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes. Birds of the air have nests. But the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
