4 Do you have eyes of flesh?

Do you see as a mortal sees?

5 Are your days like those of a mortal

or your years like those of a strong man,

6 that you must search out my faults

and probe after my sin—

4 Hast thou eyes of flesh?

Or seest thou as man seeth?

5 Are thy days as the days of man?

Are thy years as man’s days,

6 That thou inquirest after mine iniquity,

And searchest after my sin?

4 Are your eyes like those of a human?

Do you see things only as people see them?

5 Is your lifetime only as long as ours?

Is your life so short

6 that you must quickly probe for my guilt

and search for my sin?

4 Do You have eyes of flesh?

Or do You see as man sees?

5 Are Your days like the days of a mortal man?

Are Your years like the days of a mighty man,

6 That You should seek for my iniquity

And search out my sin,

4 Do you have human eyes

that see as we see?

5 Are your days like the days of humans,

and your years like our years?

6 You look for the evil I have done

and search for my sin.

4 Hast thou eyes of flesh?

Or seest thou as man seeth?

5 Are thy days as the days of man,

Or thy years as man’s days,

6 That thou inquirest after mine iniquity,

And searchest after my sin,

4 Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth? 5 Are thy days as the days of a mortal? are thy years as a man’s days, 6 That thou searchest after mine iniquity, and inquirest into my sin;

4 Do you actually have human eyes? 

Do you see as a mortal sees? 

5 Are your days like a mortal’s days? 

Are your years like a human’s years? 

6 Is that why you look for guilt in me 

and search for sin in me? 

4 Do You have eyes of flesh,

or do You see as a human sees?

5 Are Your days like those of a human,

or Your years like those of a man,

6 that You look for my wrongdoing

and search for my sin,

4 Do you have eyes of flesh?

Do you see as humans see?

5 Are your days like the days of mortals,

or your years like human years,

6 that you seek out my iniquity

and search for my sin,

4 Do you have eyes of flesh?

Or do you see as human beings see?

5 Are your days as the days of human beings,

or your years as the days of man,

6 that you seek out my iniquity,

and you search for my sin

4 You don’t have human eyes.

You don’t see as people see.

5 Your days aren’t like the days of a human being.

Your years aren’t like the years of a mere man.

6 So you search for my mistakes.

You look for my sin.
