Isaiah 47:7–8
7 You said, “I shall be qmistress forever,”
so that you did not lay these things to heart
or remember their end.
8 Now therefore hear this, qyou lover of pleasures,
rwho sit securely,
who say in your heart,
s“I am, and there is no one besides me;
tI shall not sit as a widow
or know the loss of children”:
Isaiah 47:7–8 — The New International Version (NIV)
7 You said, ‘I am forever—
the eternal queen!’
But you did not consider these things
or reflect on what might happen.
8 “Now then, listen, you lover of pleasure,
lounging in your security
and saying to yourself,
‘I am, and there is none besides me.
I will never be a widow
or suffer the loss of children.’
Isaiah 47:7–8 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

So that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart,

That sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me;
I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
Isaiah 47:7–8 — New Living Translation (NLT)
7 You said, ‘I will reign forever as queen of the world!’
You did not reflect on your actions

living at ease and feeling secure.
You say, ‘I am the only one, and there is no other.
I will never be a widow or lose my children.’
Isaiah 47:7–8 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
7 And you said, ‘I shall be a lady forever,’
So that you did not take these things to heart,

Who dwell securely,

I shall not sit as a widow,
Nor shall I know the loss of children’;
Isaiah 47:7–8 — New Century Version (NCV)
7 You said, ‘I will live forever
as the queen.’
But you did not think about these things
or consider what would happen.
8 “Now, listen, you lover of pleasure.
You think you are safe.
You tell yourself,
‘I am the only important person.
I will never be a widow
or lose my children.’
Isaiah 47:7–8 — American Standard Version (ASV)
7 And thou saidst, I shall be mistress for ever; so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end thereof.
8 Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that sittest securely, that sayest in thy heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
Isaiah 47:7–8 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
7 and thou saidst, I shall be a mistress for ever; so that thou didst not take these things to heart, thou didst not remember the end thereof. 8 And now hear this, thou voluptuous one, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thy heart, It is I, and there is none but me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know loss of children:
Isaiah 47:7–8 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

I won’t suffer the loss of children.”
