5 The waters of the river will dry up,

and the riverbed will be parched and dry.

6 The canals will stink;

the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up.

The reeds and rushes will wither,

7 also the plants along the Nile,

at the mouth of the river.

Every sown field along the Nile

will become parched, will blow away and be no more.

5 And the waters shall fail from the sea,

And the river shall be wasted and dried up.

6 And they shall turn the rivers far away;

And the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up:

The reeds and flags shall wither.

7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks,

And every thing sown by the brooks,

Shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.

5 The waters of the Nile will fail to rise and flood the fields.

The riverbed will be parched and dry.

6 The canals of the Nile will dry up,

and the streams of Egypt will stink

with rotting reeds and rushes.

7 All the greenery along the riverbank

and all the crops along the river

will dry up and blow away.

5 The waters will fail from the sea,

And the river will be wasted and dried up.

6 The rivers will turn foul;

The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up;

The reeds and rushes will wither.

7 The papyrus reeds by the River, by the mouth of the River,

And everything sown by the River,

Will wither, be driven away, and be no more.

5 The sea will become dry,

and the water will disappear from the Nile River.

6 The canals will stink;

the streams of Egypt will decrease and dry up.

All the water plants will rot;

7 all the plants along the banks of the Nile will die.

Even the planted fields by the Nile

will dry up, blow away, and disappear.

5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry. 6 And the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away. 7 The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.

5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up; 6 and the rivers shall stink, and the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and drain away: the reeds and sedges shall wither. 7 The meadows by the Nile, on the banks of the Nile, and everything sown by the Nile, shall be dried up, be driven away, and be no more.

5 The water in the Nile River will be dried up,

and the river will be dry and empty. 

6 The canals will stink. 

Egypt’s streams will be emptied and dried up. 

The reeds and cattails will wither. 

7 The rushes by the Nile, by the edge of the Nile, 

and all the fields planted beside the Nile 

will dry up, be blown away, and disappear. 

5 The waters of the sea will dry up,

and the river will be parched and dry.

6 The channels will stink;

they will dwindle, and Egypt’s canals will be parched.

Reed and rush will die.

7 The reeds by the Nile, by the mouth of the river,

and all the cultivated areas of the Nile

will wither, blow away, and vanish.

5 The waters of the Nile will be dried up,

and the river will be parched and dry;

6 its canals will become foul,

and the branches of Egypt’s Nile will diminish and dry up,

reeds and rushes will rot away.

7 There will be bare places by the Nile,

on the brink of the Nile;

and all that is sown by the Nile will dry up,

be driven away, and be no more.

5 And the waters will be dried up from the sea,

and the river will be parched and dry.

6 And the rivers will become foul-smelling;

the branches of the Nile of Egypt will become little and dry up;

reed and rush will wither.

7 Bare places by the Nile will be dried up,

by the edge of the Nile and all the sown land of the Nile;

it will be driven about, and it will be no more.

5 The waters of the Nile River will dry up.

The bottom of it will be cracked and dry.

6 Its waterways will stink.

And the streams of Egypt will get smaller and smaller

until they dry up.

The tall grass that grows along the river will dry up.

7 So will the plants along the banks of the Nile.

Even the planted fields along the Nile will dry up.

Everything that grows there will blow away and disappear.

5 The waters from the sea will dry up,

And the river will be parched and dry.

6 The canals will emit a stench,

The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up;

The reeds and rushes will rot away.

7 The bulrushes by the Nile, by the edge of the Nile

And all the sown fields by the Nile

Will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.
