Isaiah 66:12–14 — The New International Version (NIV)

12 For this is what the Lord says:

“I will extend peace to her like a river,

and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream;

you will nurse and be carried on her arm

and dandled on her knees.

13 As a mother comforts her child,

so will I comfort you;

and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

14 When you see this, your heart will rejoice

and you will flourish like grass;

the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants,

but his fury will be shown to his foes.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

12 For thus saith the Lord,

Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river,

And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream:

Then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides,

And be dandled upon her knees.

13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you;

And ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice,

And your bones shall flourish like an herb:

And the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants,

And his indignation toward his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — New Living Translation (NLT)

12 This is what the Lord says:

“I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity.

The wealth of the nations will flow to her.

Her children will be nursed at her breasts,

carried in her arms, and held on her lap.

13 I will comfort you there in Jerusalem

as a mother comforts her child.”

14 When you see these things, your heart will rejoice.

You will flourish like the grass!

Everyone will see the Lord’s hand of blessing on his servants—

and his anger against his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

12 For thus says the Lord:

“Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river,

And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream.

Then you shall feed;

On her sides shall you be carried,

And be dandled on her knees.

13 As one whom his mother comforts,

So I will comfort you;

And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.”

14 When you see this, your heart shall rejoice,

And your bones shall flourish like grass;

The hand of the Lord shall be known to His servants,

And His indignation to His enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — New Century Version (NCV)

12 This is what the Lord says:

“I will give her peace that will flow to her like a river.

The wealth of the nations will come to her like a river overflowing its banks.

Like babies you will be nursed and held in my arms

and bounced on my knees.

13 I will comfort you

as a mother comforts her child.

You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”

14 When you see these things, you will be happy,

and you will grow like the grass.

The Lord’s servants will see his power,

but his enemies will see his anger.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — American Standard Version (ASV)

12 For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and ye shall suck thereof; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees. 13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. 14 And ye shall see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the tender grass: and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

12 This is what the Lord says:

I will offer you peace like a river

and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream.

You will nurse and be carried in Jerusalem’s arms

and cuddled on her knees.

13 As a mother comforts her child,

so will I comfort you.

You will be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 When you see it, your heart will rejoice

and you will flourish like new grass.

The power of the Lord will be made known to his servants,

but he will condemn his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

12 For this is what the Lord says:

I will make peace flow to her like a river,

and the wealth of nations like a flood;

you will nurse and be carried on her hip

and bounced on her lap.

13 As a mother comforts her son,

so I will comfort you,

and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 You will see, you will rejoice,

and you will flourish like grass;

then the Lord’s power will be revealed to His servants,

but He will show His wrath against His enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

12 For thus says the Lord:

I will extend prosperity to her like a river,

and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream;

and you shall nurse and be carried on her arm,

and dandled on her knees.

13 As a mother comforts her child,

so I will comfort you;

you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 You shall see, and your heart shall rejoice;

your bodies shall flourish like the grass;

and it shall be known that the hand of the Lord is with his servants,

and his indignation is against his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

12 For thus says Yahweh:

“Look! I am about to spread prosperity out to her like a river,

and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream,

and you shall suck and be carried on the hip;

and you shall be played with on the knees.

13 As a man whose mother comforts him, so I myself will comfort you,

and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 And you shall see and your heart shall rejoice,

and your bones shall flourish like the grass,

and the hand of Yahweh shall make itself known to his servants,

and he shall curse his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

12 The Lord continues,

“I will cause peace to flow over her like a river.

I will make the wealth of nations sweep over her like a flooding stream.

You will nurse and be carried in her arms.

You will play on her lap.

13 As a mother comforts her child,

I will comfort you.

You will find comfort in Jerusalem.”

14 When you see that happen, your hearts will be filled with joy.

Just as grass grows quickly, you will succeed.

The Lord will show his power to those who serve him.

But he will pour out his anger on his enemies.

Isaiah 66:12–14 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

13 “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you;

And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”

14 Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad,

And your bones will flourish like the new grass;

And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants,

But He will be indignant toward His enemies.
