Isaiah 45:19–20 — New International Version (2011) (NIV)
19 I have not spoken in secret,
from somewhere in a land of darkness;
I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,
‘Seek me in vain.’
I, the Lord, speak the truth;
I declare what is right.
20 “Gather together and come;
assemble, you fugitives from the nations.
Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood,
who pray to gods that cannot save.
Isaiah 45:19–20 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth:
I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain:
I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
20 Assemble yourselves and come;
Draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations:
They have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image,
And pray unto a god that cannot save.
Isaiah 45:19–20 — New Living Translation (NLT)
19 I publicly proclaim bold promises.

and declare only what is right.

you fugitives from surrounding nations.
What fools they are who carry around their wooden idols

I say what is right.
