7 Concerning Edom:

This is what the Lord Almighty says:

“Is there no longer wisdom in Teman?

Has counsel perished from the prudent?

Has their wisdom decayed?

8 Turn and flee, hide in deep caves,

you who live in Dedan,

for I will bring disaster on Esau

at the time when I punish him.

7 Concerning Edom, thus saith the Lord of hosts;

Is wisdom no more in Teman?

Is counsel perished from the prudent?

Is their wisdom vanished?

8 Flee ye, turn back,

Dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan;

For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him,

The time that I will visit him.

7 This message was given concerning Edom. This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:

“Is there no wisdom in Teman?

Is no one left to give wise counsel?

8 Turn and flee!

Hide in deep caves, you people of Dedan!

For when I bring disaster on Edom,

I will punish you, too!

7 Against Edom.

Thus says the Lord of hosts:

“Is wisdom no more in Teman?

Has counsel perished from the prudent?

Has their wisdom vanished?

8 Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan!

For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him,

The time that I will punish him.

7 This message is to Edom. This is what the Lord All-Powerful says:

“Is there no more wisdom in the town of Teman?

Can the wise men of Edom no longer give good advice?

Have they lost their wisdom?

8 You people living in the town of Dedan,

run away and hide in deep caves,

because I will bring disaster on the people of Esau.

It is time for me to punish them.

7 Of Edom. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished? 8 Flee ye, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I shall visit him.

7 Concerning Edom. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Is there no more wisdom in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom spent? 8 Flee, turn back, dwell deep down, ye inhabitants of Dedan! For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I visit him.

Hide in deep caves, inhabitants of Dedan. 

When I punish them, 

I will bring disaster on the descendants of Esau.

Has counsel perished from the prudent?

Has their wisdom rotted away?

8 Run! Turn back! Lie low,

residents of Dedan,

for I will bring Esau’s calamity on him

at the time I punish him.

Has counsel perished from the prudent?

Has their wisdom vanished?

8 Flee, turn back, get down low,

inhabitants of Dedan!

For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him,

the time when I punish him.

7 Concerning Edom, thus says Yahweh of hosts:

“Is there no longer wisdom in Teman?

Has counsel become lost from those who understand?

Is their wisdom rotting?

8 Flee! Turn back! Get down low!

O inhabitants of Dedan.

For I will bring upon him the disaster of Esau

at the time when I will punish him.

7 Here is what the Lord says about Edom.

The Lord who rules over all says,

“Isn’t there wisdom in the town of Teman anymore?

Can’t those who are wise give advice?

Has their wisdom disappeared completely?

8 Turn around and run away, you who live in Dedan.

Hide in deep caves.

I will bring trouble on Esau’s family line.

I will do it at the time I punish them.

Has good counsel been lost to the prudent?

Has their wisdom decayed?

8 “Flee away, turn back, dwell in the depths,

O inhabitants of Dedan,

For I will bring the disaster of Esau upon him
